Check Engine Light in a TDI

I have a SEL with the Tdi in it and it only has about 5500 miles and the Cel cam on. The dealer had it for two days and they were unable to find the issue. They think its a software glitch. It has something to do with the emissions. The service manager said they checked everything in the emission system and everything is ok so they think its somewhere in the software. The dealer told me VW is sending up two engineers from the plant to come up and look at my car on Tuesday so I have to drop it back off. They said my car is safe to drive in the meantime and wont harm anything.

Anyone else run into anything like this or am I the only lucky one?

There are literally hundreds of reasons for a Check Engine Light...so... the very first thing you need to know, in order to diagnose further, is what the code is. Everything else is just guessing...and over the internets is even less effective.

Ask your mechanic what the code is...post it here... and you'll likely to get great suggestions. :)
