Cheap radio or anyone want a changer?

My stock radio (single din) is wacky. It started making thumping noises, then my brother in law had the car and the radio died and came back at 88.3 FM but no buttons would work. Reset the fuse in the back of it (not popped by the way) and it was OK for 2 weeks.
This morning it died, came back and flashed SAFE, died again, then was apparently fine but when I turned the engine off the damn radio would not power off, no matter what!

Anyone have an equivalent one around for not much money, or is anyone interested in a Panasonic 8 disc changer with adapter so I can move to an indash MP3 player?

I have a factory changer setup in mine- is it plug and play?

If so, how much?

The changer is plug and play for the stock radio, yes, it's a panasonic 8 disc with the crutchfield adapter. I paid around $250 for it, but I don't know the going rate.

I removed and reinstalled the radio and it came back to life. For how long, who knows.
If I can find a stock radio for around $40 (bought one on vwvortex once for $35 shipped but got stiffed) then I will stay with the current setup, otherwise I'll sell the changer and get an indash mp3 player.

Have stock radio out of 98 Jetta, cassette jammed & hasn't work since but radio works fine, let me know if that will help.

Will you sell your radio cheap? Last summer, I left an old bug repellant spray can in the cup holder and it leaked over night and melted a few buttons on the radio (and I was putting that stuff all over on my skin). The radio is working fine, but is kinna ugly... Let me know. Jin

You don't want mine, it's flakey. I pulled it out and plugged it back in, it's now been fine for a week. Very odd.
