I just ran across this for anyone looking for last minute flights to DC:
Travelocity is offering Round-Trip Labor Day Weekend Flights from $84 on United Airlines. Book by August 21. Outbound travel is valid September 1, 2, 5, and 6, 2009. Return travel is valid September 5, 6, 8, and 9, 2009.

Far example: I saw flights from Boston to Dulles for $139 total.
If you can get a ride from Baltimore flights were as low as $78, again from Boston, w/taxes and all the other charges.
I'm really contemplating this but I don't think it's gonna happen.
