There is a local guy selling a LUK-4150250110 for like $250. Car is a 2006 BRM DSG. Mine is starting to make noise and I will replace it eventually. For that cheap I should probably pick it up. What else would I need for the change and my research shows it’s the correct one is that correct?

It does look like that should work, if it’s brand new that’s definitely a really good price.

You would need to buy new flywheel bolts other than that shouldn’t HAVE to change anything.

Yes. It’s new in box and has the bolts. He was going to instal it and then hit a deer or a tree or something

I bought mine for $400 off Rockauto compared to other places that had it listed for almost double, let alone VW pricing at $1300 roughly. Seems like a good deal if it comes with everything.

Yes. I just can’t find that much info on the kit. I think that part number is right. But FC euro is the only one I can find it on. ID parts and rock show nothing for that number.

From what I can see it looks like the correct thing. I asked the guy for the part number again. As he was away and that was a SKU number.

Doing a cross reference check with that number, it seems like the OE part number is 03L105266E , Which checking that number with a couple of searches looks like its for a 5speed transmission BRM. Just checking from FCP Euro under the fitment guide.

If you're searching rockauto, heres what I found for your BRM DSG;

Thank you for this! He is out of town right now. He is going to send me the number on the box tomorrow. Then I’ll know for sure. The DSG is such a weird animal and not too many places or people know what to do with it. Had a shop quote me $1900 to do the DMF parts and labour. They also bill $600 to do the fluid change. Needless to say I got Ross tech so when the day comes I’ll be doing it myself.

Its actually quite quicker to do a DSG I find. We quote $1050 labour including the labour for fluid change NOT including parts. Is that $600 on top of the $1900 or included? I'd double check that part number just to make sure because the flywheels are different as they call it a "wet clutch flywheel".

The $600 was on top of the $1900 so to get it changed and have the fluid done it was like $2500 lol. I think labour for just the clutch was about at grand. VW shops around here are crazy expensive

Yeah that does seem on the high end. Depending what their door rate is as well.
If we lived in the same province I’d just bring it to you. I’ll probably just pay a shop to instal it when it gets worse. Car isn’t driven nearly as much as my ALH so it will be fine for now.

Youll hear it get worse over time and you can use that as a gauge of how bad it really is. I've let mine go pretty long and it got to the point to where my release bearing was causing issues. This would have been around 20,000km.

It won’t do it in any gear put park so I’m told that is a good sign. I’ll wait till it starts making noise in other gears. I just though the clutch was so darn cheap why not have it on hand.

Yeah usually youll only hear it in Park. Youll notice it get even worse when at idle the car feels like its misfiring.

I changed the dmf and clutch on my wife’s mk5 golf manual I got a sachs dmf and clutch kit with 2 litres of gearbox oil in uk motor factors for £300 then spent about 6 hours fitting it myself.

but my local garage quoted me £1100 to supply and fit.
Glad I did it myself.
