CEL and glow plug light on?

OK quick question. Tonight my 02 NB TDI CEL came on in conjunction with the glow plug light which flashes. If I shut the car off and re start it they go back to normal, then the light flashes again... any ideas? I only have 8030 mi. on it with only a vasb as the only modification. HELP!

A3/A4 B4 or B whatever , to a new member these mean nothing and still don't mean a lot to me. Especially to a new owner. He likly cross asked the question when he realized he was in the wrong section. There are so many sections that are almost identical it isn't funny. Play nice...
