I'm trying to do an ipod adaptor install and have done a search and couldn't find any info on either of these. I don't have a CD changer in the trunk. Are all Jettas manufactured with a plug in the trunk? If I have a plug, where would it be? I'd also like to know how to remove the factory radio. I have the keys but couldn't find any info on how to remove the radio. Any help is appreciated.

To remove the radio, insert the radio removal keys into the vertical slots at the edge of the radio face, press the keys in all the way while at the same time pulling back on the radio to slide it out of it's DIN slot. If you have a single DIN radio you can do it one unit at a time.

As for doing the iPod adapter. You can wire in an adapter from the back of the stock radio using an interface device. This device plugs into the back of the stereo where the trunk CD changer would normally plug in. There is a good thread about these devices here.
