Long story short, i placed an order to be overnight and i paid for it, im waiting for it the following day the whole day like stupid,, so i can put my car back on the road,, im shooting e mails to them all day to get tracking number, then finally they replied at the end of the day that they made it a 2 day prority, 1st i was promised an overnight shipment i paid for it, im freaking upset i have to take a hit now, i will not be able to fix my car in time to go to work, i guess i should've ordered through Peter ID parts although is far from Cali but ive never had issues with them, i went with Cascade cause they are closer to me,, im dissapointed with Cascade, they slid downwards in service for sure.

Well aware, I've been around here too for a while. Just making a statement. I typically buy from IDPARTS as well, but recently bought from Cascade just last week actually. Had my parts in 2 days, shipped across the continent. It's unfortunate that you needed a part the next day, paid for that shipping and had to wait an extra day. Things happen and we move on. Give them some time, I'm sure they will rectify the situation to the best of their ability.

Overnight shipping doesn't necessarily mean you get it tomorrow. Means you get it the day after it's shipped.

But you didn't pay for 2 Day Priority. Were you refunded the extra shipping?

man, serious 1st world problems lol :p by all accounts (my own experience included) they ship stuff as fast as they can. trying to get something overnighted, everyone knows, doesn't necessarily mean it will show up the next day. it's simply not possible and no one entity can be responsible for that.

Cmon so you pay $ for overnight shipment and you just never get it next day? I haven't heard that one, i understand there may be hick ups and are very rare,,, so why pay for overnight services then? And why that service is being offered then? Why even be posted on website from vendors?

not to get into an arugment or any hard feelings, but you should be old enough to know that overnight shipping simply doesn't actually mean that. right? in the real world

Where I live there is no overnight shipping. And I live about 45 minutes from Cascade. FedEx and UPS route through Portland, then to The Dalles. If a business in Portland ships overnight to me, I get it in 2 days. If a business in Denver ships overnight to me, I get it in 2 days. If I have Cascade ship First Class USPS, I get it in 2 days...

I'm in California and I had ordered overnight a while back and got it the next day. I usually order before their cut off time and email them to make sure it makes it out the same day.

There are just too many to list....
The labor shortage at all the carriers has pretty much meant that the fine print where it says "overnight packages *may not* be delivered by the next day" is more a reality every day. My BIL works for FedEx, they've been struggling to find more workforce for years, and they pay decent. Why do you think UPS workers were able to leverage such good pay this last contract negotiations? Why do you think Amazon has to subcontract to the USPS for certain deliveries? Not enough people willing to work.

I always thought overnight shipping meant it was just shipped out within the that night/next day. Not that you actually get it next day.

Sometimes you get pleasantly surprised. I ordered a set of rear rotors from Partsgeek around 10 pm on May 1, and they were sitting on my steps at noon the next day. And I selected the standard (cheapest) shipping option. Wouldn't have made a bit of difference to me if it had taken a week, though.

Exactly I'm with you on your reply, I have been reading poor excuses about overnight delivery (For the next day) from members here and it seems to me that if an overnight service is offered which in most cases it is offered from vendors then it is supposed to be honored, so if you pay it, and you'd get it 2 days later then what, who reimburses the overcharge for overnight services? You?

I've been using cascade a lot, and have had good luck. I just ordered a timing belt next day yesterday and got it today.
Some of it does depend on the time when you place the order, I can't remember what the order cutoff time is for cascade, but I know its sometime around 5 pm their time.
The carriers have been really bad about dropping shipments as well.

It was a while (years) ago, but I remember them telling me it was 4pm PDT; given the "stress" under which most delivery companies are operating these days, it wouldn't surprise me if it was closer to 3pm now.

Let’s not forget Fed-Ex changed their entire model and screwed everything up.

If after the cutoff, the second day it would be. I’ve been in a time sensitive bind and called IDParts and spoken with the directly. Peter assured me the part would arrive by such-and-such a time and it did. Never had to order something time sensitive from Cascade, but they’re good people.

I just wanted to add to this thread about Cascade , I’ve ordered things through them recently and have found Aaron to be top notch when it comes to customer service and satisfaction. Once there was a missing item from the order - and he fed ex expressed it as soon as we were in communication and he could verify the error.. but today he called me to let me know that a euro headlight switch I ordered which failed pretty quickly (user error?) well he warrantied a fresh one and popped it in the mail.
It’s not easy or cheap to order things from the states - when you live up in the great white north- so I gotta say the friendliness and courtesy to go the extra mile is really appreciated !
