LOL Whitedog, sure, why not get Frankenbuilt to do an engine swap while we're at it? :p

I'll hold off on the veggie dogs, appreciate the help on that and the tray. My brother in law who's doing the windshields is also a Veggie eater - he is the one that recommended the dogs.

If anyone has allergies feel free to post and I will try to accomodate. My youngest (18 months) is allergic to Milk, Eggs, Soy, nuts, coconut, wheat, stone fruit, etc... we can be a very allergy friendly family....
....and I hope he gets over it soon. :-/

Ok, this is the windshield list - lest some of you think, "Hey, what does he say a 2000 has no rain sensor when it's obvious that they came from the factory without one?" The answer is that you never know, I converted my 2001 Golf to a rain sensor setup, however I never did wire it up. I did get very used to the W8 rear view auto dimming mirror though!

1) Marie-Paule D. - 2006 Subaru Outback
2) Jack B. 2003 Beetle TDI
3) Ryan S 2005.5 VW Jetta TDI WITH rain sensor - 11:00
4) Mark N - 2000 Golf TDI no rain sensor - 12:00
5) Matt P 2005 Passat TDI , no rain sensor - 1:00
6) Ryan R - 2013 Jetta TDI WITHOUT rain sensor - 2:00
7) Russ C - 2002 Jetta TDI without rain sensor - 3:00

How about doing a heater core? It only take a few minutes...
Ha ha! Almost blew snot out of my nose!:D and then I realized that I actually have one of these jobs to do! (for anyone wanting to know what an early failing heater core smells like I'll be giving demonstrations:D [thinking about grabbing some stuff to do an emergency bypass:eek:])

Wife and I will be bringing down some Leche Flan.

Sweet map. Do you want dent and windshield people in a particular spot, or just head for main event and we can work it out?

We're still figuring out the spots - we'll have them laid out by the time everyone arrives. Dyno we're thinking in the southwest corner most likely...
Dent and windshields in the south and southeast corners....

Now I'm confused as to what I should have done! The car's windshield is literally dented!:D Maybe Lewis can remove it?:D (may have him assess some dents in metal though)

seriously, if anybody has pulled the door apart to fix a lock on a beetle I would appreciate any pointers.
Heater core, LOL. My old car was a camry, and the heater core came out like a cassette tape. Did it ever fail, oh no. Only the real bastige cores fail. :D

Door lock module is easy. Youll need triple square bits though

Suggestions for a pick and pull to hit Friday afternoon? I am looking for a black, non-cloth, broken arm rest cover for the Jetta. I have the parts to fix mine, but it would be better if I had a non-cloth one to put in.

The one the east side is pretty good. North portland closed a few months ago. Neever been to any others.

You know they have an app, ROW52, where you can check inventory and get notified when a particular car comes in.

Yeah. I had that app on an older phone but never reloaded it.

The one on the east side, is that the one on Foster?

The GL wouldn't have an arm rest, but the GLS would, correct?

I had to do a little work on my ride. New Rebuilt VW water pump installed. Now I'm getting it washed and ready for a 600 mile drive tomorrow. Ready for a hang out sessions at Aaron's shop!!!

Made it to that North Portland yard the week they were closing up. Found some nice stuff for my B4V at real give a way prices.

Can anybody bring a small soldering iron and solder? I went to get mine and found a mess. The entire contents of my solder box was a corroded mess due to a broken bottle of flux.

I'll see if I can remember to grab my electric one (and solder). If, that is, I can find it!:D (pretty sure I can)

Yes! I was asked if there could be anything different. I was speechless. Got a windshield replaced, got a dent massaged out, got a FREE DYNO!! Heck! Also made some more friends. Awesome time!

HUGE thanks and shout-out to Aaron and his team at Boraparts / Cascade German Parts!!
Great event, great people. Very pleased to have been able to make it down (smokey skies notwithstanding) this year.

Very excited to see the new site when it launches. Best wishes, Aaron!

Thank you Aaron and crew for a great time. It was great to meet you folks, and wow, what a collection of nice cars. Next time I will come with a real clutch and possibly some other fiddly bits. Thanks to those who brought a soldering iron. If I had arrived on time instead of up on two wheels (hair on fire?!) two hours later than planned, I would have opened up the beetle for some surgery.

Thanks all, we had a great time too! Appreciate you all showing up and that it was a fun, safe and enjoyable time for everyone! If any of you have some good pics to post throw them up; I didn't get much of a chance to take any. :-/
Till next year!
