Update! Dyno is free, first come first served. We should be able to get about 15 or so cars through. :)

I just found this thread, so happy I don't have a plan for next weekend! WOOHOO!
For me the dyno may not be free. Stock clutch plus tune and turbo and nozzles might be a bad day?

Lol skyking! No signup, you'll want to be here at or before 11 for the dyno, I expect it will fill up fast. Everyone can coordinate direct with the guy running the dyno here. If everything going smooth then we might get 18-20 people through.
Thanks!

Add Matt-98AHU + deegingerkid to the list.

And add me to the windshield list as well :)

Haven't been to Oregon yet! Been wanting to make one of these GTGs for some time. Meet a couple faces I've known for awhile online but haven't meet in meat space yet ;)

Aaron - we've been talking over gmail. I'm in for windshield, possibly dent and dyno if time permits. Looking forward to it!

Aaron, I am going to try and make this just to hang out awhile, we are going to be in Portland on Friday and already planned on spending the night, so perfect!

Aaron - Do you guys stock cold air intakes for CR140's? I've been wanting to do back to back dyno's for stock and aftermarket intake to see if there are any gains under the curve to justify it. Or do you carry the Neuspeed Turbo Discharge pipe (http://www.neuspeed.com/480283-tdi-turbo-discharge-pipe.html)? I wish I would have pulled the trigger on one by now so I'd have it to swap in and test. Supposed to only be in the 70's on Saturday so I wouldn't mind wrenching my car in a parking lot ;).

Small stuff is OK, however things are going to get pretty busy around here. Between here and FB we're looking at 80+ cars potentially along with lots of kids running around.

Let's say no fluids (unless you blow a turbo on the dyno!) and no jacks. Other than that please exercise prudence.

Thanks all!

Sorry Evol, I've never been a fan of cold air intakes so I've never gone to the trouble to stock them.

We did just get in a shipment of Devils Own water meth kits. We'd love to see a before/after dyno on one of those!

Aaron-

My wagon could use a few more miles on the odometer, so count me in...:)

Add me to the dent removal list, too.

I'm unfamiliar with the Portland/Gresham area. Any suggestions for nice (and cheap) lodging Friday night?

Thanks,

Sideoiler (Mark, 1A)

Yeah, couple of options:

-Pony Soldier Inn in Gresham, 1060 NE Cleveland Ave, which is about 2 blocks from here.
10% off with your AAA card, looks like with discount rates are $110-130/night. (503) 665-1591
-Motel 6 in Troutdale; pretty bare bones, but roughly $60 a night. It's 5 minutes from here. Don't expect much. (503) 665-2254
-Howard Johnson Inn about $85/night, also a couple blocks away. (503) 666-9545
-Best Western in Sandy, about 12 minutes away, but on the way up Mt. Hood. Timberline lodge should be on everyones bucket list, and it's only about 35 minutes from Sandy... Nice place, I know a lot of people have stayed there and liked it. (503) 668-7100. Joe's Donuts is a must for the best donuts in Portland (forget Voodoo!) I'm a sucker for their apple fritters and pumpkin rum donuts.

Aaron, would a jack be Ok for those of us who have to remove a wheel to get the fender liner off so we can get to dents for removal?

Also, anyone bringing a BBQ or do we need a "food thread"?

OK, I will do the filter change here. I had hoped to adjust the turbo actuator but that's outside the scope of work.

Aaron, please order a windshield for a 2002 Jetta Wagon. No fancy rain sensor necessary, just plain one needed.

I'll see what I can do Russ, things are pretty booked on the windshield side of things, but if we can fit you in we will!

As mentioned please be prudent on work. We don't have a way to dispose of fluids. If something needs to be jacked to take care of dents then that makes sense. What we really don't want is something like a timing belt going on where things get spread way out all over the place. I don't see an actuator being a problem.

We have almost 100 cars confirmed as of this writing. Thankfully we have space for almost 600 cars within a couple blocks of here. 68 spaces on site, and another 70 or so across the street. Should be busy and fun!

We're covering all the food, but I won't complain if someone wishes to bring a side. Right now the plan is for burgers, dogs, veggie dogs or burgers, pulled pork, slaw, potato salad, chips, soda, homemade cookies, and some fruit...

I'll see what I can do about wrestling up enough stuff for a veggie tray. :) And if Matt's the only vegetarian, I'll bring the veggie dogs too...that is if you haven't gotten them yet, Aaron.
