2011 Jetta TDI: Candy White, 6 Spd
Hi, I've been on here a little while, but thought I would make a thread. I purchased my first Jetta 5 months ago and thought I'd share my progress..So far I am loving this car aside from a few quirks here and there..
2011 Jetta TDI Premium
Candy White
6 speed
Currently has 12500 miles (waiting on intercooler fix to arrive from dealer.. been having problems with water condensation building up and no-start issues)
Use diesel additive (but not on every fill-up)
Just had it tinted a couple days ago 20% all around:

Current:
Chrome Exhaust tips
Rear lip spoiler
20% tint all around
Just ordered Interior LED kit, License plate LEDs, and H7 Super White headlight bulbs
Future planned mods/accessories:
Newsouth Performance Columnpod with Boost Gauge
Newsouth Performance Consolepod with Oil Temp & EGT Gauges
Scangauge II
Fog Light Kit
H&R Sport Springs
Sigma 6 spd Short Shifter (from DieselGeek)
Stainless "Jetta" Door Sills
Under Seat Tray Kit (driver & passenger)
17-18" Wheels (not sure which ones yet)
LED City Lights
Aluminum Pedal Caps
Clear bra
Headlight/foglight protective film (either clear or slightly tinted)
Would like to paint/wrap the front and rear VW emblems so they are black, but I'll have to read up on how to do that
Maybe/Wishlist (if I had money):
Diesel Geek Panzer Plate
Diesel Power Module or Tune
Cold Air Intake (if it's worth it)
Exhaust
GLI Honeycomb upper grill (if either a. GLI emblem gone or b. they make a TDI emblem that will fit on there)
Coilovers
Votex Body kit
Any other suggestions are welcome!! (Either to do or not to do - LOL)
Thanks
Samantha

Personally, I would forget the CAI and exhaust. These CRs breathe fine w/ stock tuning and even a mild upgrade tune. Besides, removing the emissions eq. is "illegal"... not so say I'm not going to put on a straight thru exhaust if I keep the car past warranty.

+1 on the Panzer Plate and clear bra. A PP is next on my list and I'm currently buffing out my car and wishing I'd had a clear bra installed. Lots of little rock chips.

Welcome! Where are you in MA? I see a chicken in the first photo so I'm guessing not Boston. There are lots of TDI enthusiasts all around southern New England, so you're in good company.

I second the vote on the clear bra: I got one on my '12 Golf almost immediately after seeing my '02 get sandblasted during New England winters. And I agree: don't bother with the CAI or exhaust. Get a good tune (I'm going to get Rocketchip in the Golf as soon as the car and Jeff are in the same place), and leave it at that. These cars are too complex to make many other changes to without consequences, especially here in MA where they plug in for emissions readiness.

If you're out towards Boston and the Cape stop by and see us in Pembroke. And watch the regional forums for get togethers in New England. You just missed the New Year's GTG at House of 5 Garages, but there will be another.

Shot of my Golf:

Only mod so far is Koni FSDs. Chip and rear bar to come.
And if you get 17s get in touch: I may want to buy your 16s.

personally i'm disappointed the tint shop didn't force you to add the clear bra. it would have saved you the trouble in returning, and likely would have provided a savings with a bundled price.

i'm being a little facetious......you're car looks very similar to mine with the beautiful tint.

I don't have a lot of your future mods but I have quite a few.
Check my build thread if you want to see a few pics.

Let me know how the NewSouth Gauges go in and look, I wanted the "VentPod" but NewSouth told me the Mk6 vents are too small for the gauge to fit.
So I will have to get the "ConsolePod" for the boost gauge and I guess an engine temp.

Have a look at my build here... http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=313725
