The press release speaks for itself! It would be interesting, though, to find out if the percentage of TDIs has increased due to the price of fuel nowadays!
Canadian Volkswagen Sales up 20.3%

AJAX, ON, April 3 /CNW/ - Volkswagen Canada's sales in the month of March were 4,470, 20.3% over the 3,715 sold in March 1999.
The Jetta was the top model for Volkswagen in the month of March with impressive sales totaling 2,313 an increase of 41.6% from March 1999.
Volkswagen Passat sales reached 504, an increase of 45.2% from the 347 of March 1999. Volkswagen's popular New Beetle continues to show strong market appeal more than two years after its introduction. To date 1,529 Beetles have been sold in 2000.
Year-to-date Volkswagen has retailed 9,764 units an increase of 1,492 vehicles or 18.0% over the 8,272 cars sold in the same period last year.
