Okay, probably a dumb question but I've been unsuccessful so far. I have some log files from VAG-COM that I want to put in a post. how do I do that? I can attach images but not Excel or .csv files.

Thanks.

I tried uploading one to "Resources" and got this:
Uploaded files:
  • sample_map.csv
The uploaded file does not have an allowed extension. The following extensions are allowed: .zip, .txt, .pdf, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe, .gif, .psd, .tif, .xls, .xlsx, .doc, .docx

  • Looks like they aren't allowed by site software default policy.
You could try uploading them to catbox.moe or someplace and link them.
There's also some nice software that translates them into graph tables which are some kind of jpeg I think.

Excel files (.xls, .xlsx) are allowed, but not .csv - which doesn't make sense because they are just text files, which are allowed. You can save your CSV as .txt as a workaround.

I just use Dropbox direct links (change the dl=0 to raw=1 in the "Copy Dropbox Link" URL, and you get the file downloaded directly without having to deal with all of the Dropbox (or Google if using Google Drive) window dressing.
