Thanks fellas.. i need information on emission testing if there is any after the car is registered and if there is a need for inspection. Not sure if it varies from county to county or if the DMV rules are the same throughout the state. Do they care about tinted windows. Any info would be great..

I've lived in the Miami area and diesels have always been exempt since I started driving (1992). I don't think Palm Beach County was on the EPA's SH*T list like Dade and Broward were and I don't think they even had emissions testing.
In any case, I'm almost 100% sure there is no emissions testing now in Palm Beach and I'm 100% sure there is no testing in Miami-Dade.
Cops are usually pretty lenient about the tinting down here due to the heat, but searching the crappy Florida DMV website is fruitless. I'm not sure how the heck you'll find an answer in writing . . .
I guess you're moving down to S. Florida too

Yes, DMV sites are not clear at all, so i just figure i'd ask the locals for a little help. If my car was stock i would not be worried so much but since it was only stock for a short while then i have to be aware of what to avoid or what to expect..
I hope to move down there, trying to search and get as much info as possible before the move takes place..

I've never heard of anyone down here going through emission testing. Florida is a VERY lax state on vehicle safety, tinting, emissions, etc.
