Well last week I was told that my offer would be in within three business days. Yesterday I called and the lady told me that whoever said that lied to me. Apparently my documents were sent to the auditor on November 22nd. So I am assuming my 10 days starts from there and not the 14th when my documents were accepted?

Also when I asked her if it would be done in the 10 business days she said probably not. I told her that's a violation of the court order and her reply was "I know, but they are overwhelmed with requests and getting them done as fast as they can"

No, your second ten-business-day period starts when you're notified that your documents are accepted.

Word of advice, take with a grain of salt. Forget about the 10 or 20 or 30 business days. Know that they have no timeline, and do not care who they upset at this point. I've taken to social media, made a twitter account to to tweet VW. I've tweeted 38 times since the beginning of Nov. Guess how much they care about even being put on blast in front of millions... None, I've gotten no responses. I started off nice, now I just give them a daily blast of #VWDoesntCare.

I know they wont stick to it and my hopes wont get down once the dates come and go, but it is still nice to know when it is supposed to happen.

I found it kind of interesting though that they are at least acknowledging that they will not be sticking to the timelines

Its funny how if any of us didnt follow a court order we get busted right away. But not them

Same as how it's done in the military. Government messes up and owes me money, it takes months. Government messes up and I owe them money, my next paycheck is cut in half

Eight years ago and my second in MD, we were still waiting for our tax return in August. Was finally able to get a human on the phone only to find out that they didn't have my W2. Of course, they were never going to tell me. And then we got a Republican governor who got rid of a lot of the dead wood. Unfortunately they were all hired by VW.

LOL I can relate. I've seen that dead wood myself.

I left Taxland...err....Maryland 20 years ago and never looked back. BTW, how's that rain tax workin' out?
