I sold my 2002 Jetta TDI today. Had 138,000 miles. It's been a great car with lots of help from TDIClub but it was time.
The development where my house is located is only half built-out and the developer is filing for bankrupcy.
The major problem is that any development in our town the developer must maintenance all roads including snow plowing while the development is under contruction plus 3 years once it is finished. Who know when the rest of the development will be finished. Us and our neighbors may have to hire someone to plow our road, and even if we do we may not be plowed early enough for my commute.
The TDI (non 4-motion) didn't like it some days last year during major snow.
So I deciced to sell it....
I have been looking at other larger diesel vehicles but the Touareg TDI is a little too expensive for me.
Now that my commute is only 8 miles each way i'm not as concerned about mileage... and bought a new 2011 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited! Nice new updated interior too, plus i've always wanted one
And of course the diesel wranglers are built at Jeep's Ohio plant but do not sell them here....
I hope to be back to diesel in the future, and i've told the new owner of
my car to check out TDIClub!
