• The TDIClub classifieds section is a heavily trafficked section of the forum that encompasses want-to-buy (WTB) and for-sale (FS) threads for the entire world. Due to the demanding nature and fast pace of this section, it is imperative that you know and understand the rules. It is also important to remember that this is the only parts classifieds section.

Cross-posting and posting classifieds in the regional sections (except the dedicated thread in Ontario) is not permitted.

Multiple items should be sold in one thread. Make sure to provide a description for all items in your post along with pictures and prices. If you start multiple threads with individual items, they will be locked or combined at the discretion of the moderators.

Here is a quick outline of the classifieds section rules. If you don't follow these rules, you subject yourself to thread deletion, thread combination, infractions, or posting privilege revocation.

    Thread titles:
    • Put FS or WTB in your thread title. This will let other users know if you are selling or buying.
    • Briefly describe what you are selling. Thread titles have limited space. Be as descriptive, yet succinct, as possible.
    • Put your location in the title.
    • If space allows, put your price in the title

Title example (single item): "FS: 2004 Mk4/BEW cylinder head - Portland, OR - $500"
Title example (multiple items): "FS: MK6 fog lights, front bumper, headlights, grill - Detroit, MI"
Title example (car part-out): "FS: Mk3 Jetta parting out engine & interior - Dallas, TX"

    Thread text descriptions and pictures:
    • All for-sale threads must include pictures of the items that you are selling. One picture is sufficient, but multiple pictures with different angles will help buyers. A picture is worth a thousand words. If you don't know how to post pictures on TDIClub, see this thread: http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=286691
    • All for-sale threads must include a description. We don't charge per-word, so be as descriptive as possible. The more information you can provide, the easier it will be for buyers.
    • All for-sale threads must include a price. Auctions and bidding are not allowed. If you want to auction something off, use eBay.
No picture, no price, NO SALE!

    Thread maintenance/updates/bumps:
    • When you sell something, update your thread with "SOLD!" Moderators will close the thread and update the title.
    • If you have multiple items for sale, update your thread as each item has been sold. When everything has been sold, updated the thread with "ALL ITEMS SOLD!" Moderators will close the thread and update the title when all items have been sold.
    • If you bump your thread, please delete old bumps by clicking on EDIT and then deleting the old bump. This will reduce clutter in your thread and make it easier to read. It also makes you look less desperate.
    • If you drop your price, please update your first post in addition to posting the new price. If you would like the thread title changed, click on the report post icon and let a moderator know what you would like the title changed to.

    Moderator intervention and infraction points:
Moderators will be monitoring the classifieds section. If a moderator determines that you have not been following the rules listed above, corrections will be made and infraction points will be assessed to your account.

What is an infraction point? Simple - it's a system of keeping track of user behavior. A moderator can assign a point value based on the severity of the infraction, as well as an expiration date on the points assessed. If you accumulate a certain number of points, the system will auto-ban you for a predefined amount of time. The more points you accumulate, the longer your ban period will be.

One example of points is as follows: multiple threads will be combined into a single thread, with the number of infraction points assessed corresponding to the number of threads merged. If we merge four threads into one, then you will be assessed four points that expire in 30 days. When you reach five points, the system will auto-ban you for one day.*

*This is an example based on the current infraction system structure. We reserve the right to modify the infraction system at any time without notice or updates to this announcement.

Thank you for your cooperation, and good luck with your sales and searches! :)

To give context, if possible, please add the link to the classified ad thread for which you are leaving your feedback. This would be helpful should any disputes arise and for people to be able to refer to the listing in question.

And mods, for the above reason I would ask not to delete classified ads once sold from now on.

Your feedback post should thus be of the following format:

I <bought / sold> <from / to> : <member name>
Date of Transaction: <YYYY/MM/DD - if unsure of exact date, give an estimate>
Feedback: <Positive / Negative / Neutral>

Communication: Horrible
Tactics: Playing low ball and ignoring emails.

No communication what so ever on the above down pipe + CAT that he wanted it. Told him on Friday evening that I can sell for $85 after I check with my mechanic friend on what it was worth. The next day morning (Saturday) he asked for a picture of the DP and the CAT and had not told me that he wanted it at that point either. Along with the picture told him that I am being told it is worth minimum $125 and asked him to let me know if he wanted it. Never responded that he wanted to buy it. No reply until the following Friday when ED144 pops up and asks why I have not shipped. Come to find out that he paypal'd $85 and did not contact me what so ever. Reminded him about the picture and the email. He ignores and he disappears again to show up the next day via email offering another $20. Told him to go back and read my email he was ignoring and that I will refund his $85 if I did not hear back. Did not hear back and hence issued a refund. Talk about lack of communication and ignoring emails intentionally to low ball, on top of it leaving a negative feedback.

People like this do not know know what proper communication or honesty means and should be suspended for misrepresenting what happened. I have all the email communication that can be forwarded.

I JDSwan87 , SOLD to meganuke some Ford Ranger service manuals.
Transaction date: 11-18-14
Feedback: POSITIVE!!
Comments: I contacted VeeDubTDI asking if I could give away some old service manuals I had. I wanted to post them on here. I was giving them away because EBay and Craigslist I deemed too much of a hassle. He responded saying that a friend (meganuke) had just bought an old Ranger and might be interested in them. I asked that he (meganuke) pay shipping and that was all I wanted. Shipping cost me $8 and he mailed me a check for $15. I proceeded to donate the $15 to TDIClub for the sheer fact that I had zero problems with the transaction and I LOVE this site!

AARodriguez Corp. and Buzzken

I purchased Buzzken's downpipe for a CR 2.0 TDI from AARodriguez Corp. on December 31, 2014. It was on my doorstep by Wednesday, January 7, 2015. I consider 7 days a very good turnaround time, especially with the New Year's holiday falling in between the time I ordered the part and the time I received it.

Also, I sent my ECU to AARodriguez Corp on Wednesday, January 17 for a Malone Stage 2 upgrade. I received my reprogrammed ECU (overnight shipping) Friday morning, which was two days later.

Review: Buzzken's Downpipe
Fantastic piece of equipment. Very well made and fits damn near like stock. I followed the Rawtek instructions and ran into few problems installing the part.

Review: AARodriguez Corp
First, I am incredibly grateful for this company. I called a couple of days after ordering to make sure the downpipe had been shipped, as I wasn't sure if the shop would be taking a holiday after New Year's weekend. After I received and installed the part, I immediately shipped them my ECU. Again, I called to make sure the ECU had been received. Not only had they received my ECU, it had already been programmed and was already in the process of being shipped back to me.

I would fully recommend doing business with both Buzzken and AARodriguez Corp to anyone.

Feedback on crdouger

I BOUGHT misc hardware from : crdouger

Date of Transaction: 2015/02/10 (Feb 10, 2015)

Feedback: <Positive>

Comments:
I needed some hold downs for the injectors on a 1Z / AHU, he didn't have them listed in his post but he was willing to go and check to see if he had them. He said he did and sent pictures. He ended up not having everything I needed and offered to sell me what he had at a lower price.

This was all negotiated before I drove to pick up the parts, he was there when he said and it was a great transaction. Very upfront/honest guy from my short visit and I'd have no problems purchasing from him again.

Comments:
I needed some parts / hardware for my 98 jetta (AHU)

We were both a bit slow getting emails back and forth but once we had a final list of all the hardware I needed (Alternator/hoses/brackets etc) he packaged them up very nice and they were shipped out very shortly after he received the paypal. (I want to say with minutes of getting the paypal) and he included a tracking number.

It was such a smooth transaction the next time I needed AHU parts (I contacted him before contacting anyone else)

I can not express what a good job he did packaging an alternator. It was the best packaging I had ever received for such a heavy part. I wouldn't expect such packaging every time I get parts from him because it was 110% above and beyond what was necessary but everything arrived perfectly.

Would highly recommend him again if anyone is looking for AHU parts.

Really sorry that I have to put this up here, and if its the wrong place let me know where and I will move it, but I can't get any sense out of the member so best everyone knows what has happened and if he wants to explain in public, rather than in riddles via email, so be it.

For those who don't want to read the full story, Guy Ginbey (GEE-BEE - http://forums.tdiclub.com/member.php?u=108470), a member moonlighting as a Vendor on TDI Club bought a load of parts from Darkside, including a Tubular Manifold.

He said the manifold was missing from the package when he received it, so we sent him a replacement and filed a claim with DHL.

Since then, Guy has bought other parts from us and sent lots of photos of various parts he has made to go along with the kit (Intercoolers, hoses, downpipe etc). One of the photos included the 'missing' manifold. We knew it was not the one we sent as a replacement as we took photos before sending it out.

You can clearly see the photos are of 2 different manifolds, the location of the Darkside Tax and the way the runner is constructed.
Guy changed his story after I pointed this out and said the photos were taking from TDI Club as examples.

He has also today said we should settle it in person. I take that as a personal threat.

Here are Guy's details

GEE-BEE RACING
36101 BOB HOPE DRIVE
RANCHO MIRAGE, California 92270

Email: n77gb@msn.com

He also seems to post a lot on 'The-Samba' selling parts

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5871788

For anyone interested in the details, please see below. I also have 48 email strings in my Gmail Account that need to be downloaded. Most of them are Guy talking in riddles and trying to sell me Silicone Hoses or the Downpipe for the 'kit' he made.

_______

09/05/2014 - Shipped with DHL Express
_______

16/05/2014 -
Box sat in Cinicinatti for a few days, I know why now as it was opened and damaged missing manifold and egr delete
Please file a claim with dhl, only two straps on the box, the vac sheild is a little dented
This turbo is set up for the exhaust to be on the rh side
Most mk1 caddys have the exhaust portion on lh side ?
I will have to move the intake/airfilter to the lh side or make a crazy 180 bend to the rh side
here is a 1.9 aaz install your thoughts
Did I get the correct turbo setup ?
its hard to tell with no exhaust manifold here or engine yet, I have lots of time for this build
again , this is going into a 1.9 ahu / mk1 caddy

Surely you would be a little more clear or concerned if a packaged you received was opened and £750 worth of goods were missing?

He also emailed saying Actuator Heat Shield was dented, then Sent photos of GTB1756VK and asked
'Is there reverse model of this. My caddy has everything on other side. Intake and psi on other side. This faces the opposite for my mk1.'

How would he know if he didn't have the Manifold? The flange can be positioned either way.

He also commented on box being opened and resealed (it wasn't done by DHL as they use 'Resealed by DHL Tape')
'It was opened and had clear tape
I opened the bottom side
Let me know'

DARKSIDE

The tracking I had said it was in Cincinatti for 5 hours and before the end of the day it was in Ontario

http://www.dhl.co.uk/content/gb/en/express/tracking.shtml?brand=DHL&AWB=8034411604 - Tracking no longer works

The only issue I see is Address information needed; contact DHL on the Tuesday, and it was delivered on the Thursday. That was probably while it was in customs.
_____________________

DARKSIDE

I did get this back regarding the movement of the package

All that happened looking at this is that the courier couldn't find his address (it may have been a covering courier) and then we delivered it on the 15th. It was in Cincinnati between 1:44am and 6:09am on the 13th May, it arrived at LA Airport at 7:00am and was in Ontario by 9:11am on the 13th and we attempted it that day

So the item was not in Cincinatti for any prolonged period.

21/01/2015 - Guy Ordered a GTB2260Vk Turbocharger - We didn't ship it as we asked for photos of the current setup (we needed them to see where he had moved the Actuator etc)

_______

13/02/2015 - Guy finally sent photos of Setup at 'the workshop' showing a different manifold to what we sent as a replacement, with some sort of coating.
_______

14/02/2015 - I sent the photo pointing out the differences between the manifold we sent to him as a replacement and the ones in the pictures.

DARKSIDE

'Something have has been niggling me about the situation with the manifold going missing last year.
I checked out the photos you sent me yesterday vs the photos of the manifold we sent out to replace the one that was 'missing'.
There are 2 noticeable differences. Runner 3 is different and the Darkside Tag is on a different runner.
I don't have photos of the first shipment, as your problem was the reason we started to take detailed photos of each order. However, I would put my money on the Manifold in the photos you sent yesterday are of the first manifold we shipped out and went 'missing'
Check the Time Stamp on the photos I have attached, 9th June 2014. We were advised the manifold was 'missing' on the 16th May 2014 and shipped out the replacement on the 9th June
I have a folder full showing the packaging used etc. We do this for most shipments now.'

_______

06/03/2015 - Guy Received Refund from PayPal
________

17/03/2015 - Before posting this up I gave Guy 1 last chance to make it right

DARKSIDE

Prior to me posting publicly of you stealing one of my manifolds, do you care to explain why you lied to me?, and i would like it back or at least payment for it and I will consider the matter closed
You know you have done wrong and we have caught you out, but I am giving you ONE LAST CHANCE to make it right.

GUY

Post what you may...
I have one manifold Ceramic coated twice
Not using it as we're making a ti Version from a vendor from sema
The ceramic was damaged from downpipe mock up.
I tried to purchase another turbo
But you would not ship and used a false address/tracking for PayPal
I don't sign or see my packages
There is a shipping company that does that for me.
Anything else ?

DARKSIDE

Are you blind?
Look at the photos and explain to me how the manifold can change construction between ceramic coatings?
So if you don't see the packages, the shipping company ripped me off?
Also glad you are copying our manifold in Ti :) Supposed you don't need 2 of mine so you can send them back?

GUY

Two different set of pics
One mine build an another from the forums.
Again, I don't sign or see the boxes
Maybe you just get on a plane and we can settle this?
Meet in San Diego Calif
Close to the border?

The TI will sell for half of yours which you don't make in house either.
The dollar is getting stronger in the world market.

DARKSIDE

I am sat watching 2 people welding manifolds now IN MY WORKSHOP so get your facts straight.
Price of Ti must have come down.
Speak on the Forums.

GUY

I am in the aircraft parts business and only follow the forums for product support.
I take two cars to Sema every year
Maybe you should attend?

China is in the market strong with ti
Exhaust .
Attend sema, get off your island
With your labor and taxes
You have a limited market

On www.vwdiesel.net, the feedback forum has a thread where all of the individual sellers are listed in alphabetical order with the number of positive, neutral or negative feedbacks. As individuals add their feedback responses, the list is updated by the mods. Is there such a listing on this forum? It's nigh impossible to wade through 22 pages of posts in order to find out if there is a listing for someone you are potentially purchasing parts from.

That sucks. FYI, purchasing things from a new overseas member with very little posting history is a major red flag.

EDIT: Stupid Me! Looked in the wrong forum! See posts #332 and my 333

There was a recent post about an issue with some injectors. Seems to be missing now. If the issue was resolved it would be good to read that it was resolved rather than just deleting the post all together.

I have not mentioned names but would still be interested in the resolution. Either by post or by P.M.

Thanks for any follow up info.
