We went with the buyback. Vehicle was turned in early March. VW paid us whatever the agreement was and paid Chase loan - except they didn't pay the full amount. There was 1 more payment left and we paid it so not to be delinquent on payments. Once we paid it, the vehicle became paid off and the bank sent us the title for the passat

anything like that happened to anyone?

You have the title?

Yes. Chase sent us the title since we made the last payment.

Inform VW that you have the title but had to pay off the loan since they failed to send Chase teh correct amount. Demand they send you the cash for the title.

Did you get a cash payment over and above the loan payoff amount?

If the total of those two is correct then they don't owe you anything because they should have made your cash payment smaller by the amount of that last payment.
