buyback lien payoff question on Title

Does VWOA except a lien payed off letter from lender or do you have to get title changed at DMV prior to submitting docs?

I don't know to be honest, but I'm guessing you'll have to get the new title in your name.

The more "wrong" things you have the harder the process will be. Get the title fixed and then submit. I would never leave the title with a lien once it is paid for.

They CAN payoff your loan and then your lender will send you check for extra payment. However, people have reported problems with it.

If you CAN pay it off yourself and get a new clean title, I recommend doing it. Then do a claim with "no lien" and get full amount from VW

They accept a lien release letter. If you haven't yet uploaded your documents, scan the title and the release into a single pdf, then upload that as the title in the portal.

I initially just uploaded the title as that's what is requested and had to upload again with the release. Once I did that it was approved within 24 hours. Pointless spending money to get a fresh copy of the title just to turn the vehicle in.

I was assuming you paid the loan off but just haven't changed the title to no lien.

I confirmed with claims that i can just upload a pdf of title and loan paid in full letter from lender.

Just make sure it is one file in the upload.

They will only accept it if it is in the same pdf or photo file as the title.
