Did anyone get a number for CHASE? What is the timeframe for getting an email from them? I turned my vehicle in yesterday. I see where some people are getting a email from Chase within 24 hours.
Still waiting? :(
I just turned in two TDI's today. The claims ambassador gave me this number to follow up with Chase if I had any EFT issues:

855.267.0428

The process at the dealer went reasonably well. Grandma was my ambassador and I think it was her first time on an iPad. She took some pictures and verified the cars ran.Got my email receipt before I left the dealer (moments of her pushing the button). Dealer asked if I need a replacement. Nope, I already bought a Lexus. You could see the hope drain from his face - sorry dude, I'm back to the land of the rising sun.

These f@#$ing cars fought me to the bitter end. Both cars were in storage since July and her Jetta won't start without a jump and the driver's door handle on my Passat broke so it has to be opened (roughly) from the inside.

I'm almost done with this process, just one last step.

Good luck everyone.

When I clicked "Accept Money" it churned for a long time, and then gave me a Chase login screen with an error message at the top that said "an unexpected error occurred contacting the service. Please try again". There was no provision to create a password. I tried again about 5 times, and still the same result (is that the definition of insanity "trying the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result"). Guess I'll try again later.
Anyone else experience this?
I get this too. I looked at the Developer Tools console in my Chrome browser and it seems like an outage on their Java site backend (http 500 on B2CConsumerMobileServlet):
Code:
{responseMessage: "An unexpected error occurred while processing data", code: "DPE000"}
Guess I'll give them a day before calling.

I'm also getting an error. Of course, the only time in my life I'm presented with a legit "Accept Money" button in an email...and it's not working. :( :rolleyes:

Having worked in IT for like a billion years, I'd just recommend trying again tonight before bed, and again in the morning. It'll be working again soon I'm sure.

Cheers!

I got yet another reminder email from VW. I am guessing that they have gotten a lot of flak from people who want to know why the size of the check doesn't match the offer letter, so they are trying to head this off by explaining the process. My guess is that this won't help all that much - people will still fuss about the check not matching the offer letter.

Based on the updated mileage information that you provided when scheduling your appointment, the date of your appointment, the outstanding balance of your loan as of the date of your offer letter and the estimated monthly mileage that you provided during the claim submission process, your estimated payment amount is below:

$ 875 Vehicle Return Amount
$ 7,261.73 Additional Restitution Payment
     $ 28,636.73 ESTIMATED Amount VW Will Pay You**
**Please note that the actual payment amount at your closing appointment may differ from the above amount based on the actual mileage of your vehicle at the time of your buyback appointment.
The thing I don't get is the $875 for "Vehicle Return Amount". What the hell is that number supposed to be? It seems like a totally random number to me.

Got in again, and got my bank info entered and transfer made. They said 1-2 days money will show up in my account. I'll have to say this was quite a struggle for this old man.

I received a similar reminder email for my scheduled Buyback appointment tomorrow. The Vehicle Return Amount seemed like a bogus number (450) but the total estimated buyback amount looked about right (Although it appears that the base value is calculated for the state I purchased the car in, not the state I live in now). Anyway, I tried calling the Claims line to try to get an explanation. That went downhill real fast. They offered to elevate my questions and get a response within 72 hours. My Buyback appointment is in approximately 14 hours. Starting to have second thoughts about staying with VW for the replacement.

It makes sense to base it on the state the vehicle was purchased within rather than wherever someone lives now. Presumably if there is a difference in payout, I haven't seen one after checking a couple different states, it's to compensate for taxes or whatever differences in MSRP might have existed at the time of purchase.

I purchased in NY in 2011. Live in Maine now, which falls in the New England buyback category. There is a $30 difference in the base amount, with NY being lower.

There is a difference in payout, but it's because the value of a car isn't the same in (say) California as it is in Kansas. There are about a half dozen NADA regions, and the values are slightly different in each.

I completed my buyback today at the Hansel Santa Rosa, CA dealership. I arrived 30 minutes early and they took us back right away. Everything went pretty smoothly but at one point the VW rep's screen went black and she had to restart her tablet.

The VW rep assured me I'd get a receipt instantly once the buyback was completed, but it didn't happen and by the time I got home several hours later I still had not received a receipt. Before leaving the dealership, I had the VW rep write a receipt which including her cell phone number. I called the VW rep after I got home and told her I still hadn't received my receipt so she filed something with VW and assured me I'll get my receipt within 24 hours.

I turned in my car with both sets of keys plus the two valet keys. I kept my carpet mats and they didn't say anything. My car had a little body damage on bottom of the front bumper and they didn't say anything about it.

My two VW ambassadors told me all the buyback vehicles will be registered out of Michigan and they will all get the three-hour fix. They will then be auctioned off and VW dealers will get first dibs. They also said the cars in California will stay in California, they won't actually be shipped to Michigan.

I got the same reminder email for my appointment next week with the same $450 "Vehicle Return Amount". Can't wait to find out what this is all about.

I believe Dan is right on this one. The differences reflect market value differences of the cars, used, by region.

I received my Chase email about 28 hours after receiving my VW buyback receipt. Accepted money around 9 pm last night; money shown as a "pending transfer" in my bank account this morning.

I turned mine in yesterday at 1:00PM, and got my Chase email tonight at 7:30 tonight. The email "VOLKSWAGEN OF AMERICA sent you a payment. As a new customer to Chase Payments, click "Accept Money" below and create a user ID and password to log on to our secure website. After logging in you will be asked to provide account information. You will need to have a US bank account and US mailing address to receive your payment electronically. If you have any questions about this payment, please contact VOLKSWAGEN OF AMERICA at 844-982-5246."

When I clicked "Accept Money" it churned for a long time, and then gave me a Chase login screen with an error message at the top that said "an unexpected error occurred contacting the service. Qsabe, you are long, long overdue for a Chase e-mail. Did you get an e-mail receipt from Volkswagen after you turned it in? The Volkswagen e-mail receipt comes in almost immediately with the conclusion of your turn in. The Chase e-Mail comes the next business day after that.

I had this exact same experience with the Chase Email and I was beginning to freak out and go A.P.E.S.H.I.T. I couldn't get it to accept my username and password setup. Then, when I was about to give up, I opened the e-mail again on my iphone, turned off WIFI and pressed submit on LTE. Then it went through and I was able to enter my account info to receive the money.

I couldn't believe having another glitch like that right at the second to last step.

I had my appointment during the APP crash on the 7th as well. It sucked and my experience is chronicled here:

we're all paid now and done. Thank god.

I opted for the paper check. I know that the final amount won't match the offer letter (or rather unlikely). The mileage for the offer letter was submitted a long time ago and we have purchased a new car since then. We will most likely be lower mileage than the offer letter.

I guess that means I will get a second check in the mail?

Appt. not until 01/09...

Sorry if this has been asked before...
To those of you that got the Chase Quick Pay ETF, did you provide your bank routing and account #? Or did they just email the ETF offer to your email address on file?

To get payment, you must provide a routing number and account number to Chase through the Chase Payments web site.

I do not know of any way you can get paid just with an e-mail and no account information at all. It would be great, I guess, if they could attach a check as a pdf, but it doesn't work that way.
