Has anyone elected the paper check? If so was it there waiting for you? This ETF thing seems like it for the birds.
Who is supposed to FedEx the documents and who is supposed to enter the tracking number? Dealer, the claim specialist or the Ambassador?Same here... got a call from the dealer... apparently when all is buttoned up at the turn-in, they're supposed to FedEx all the documents to VW. They're then supposed to enter the FedEx tracking number into their side of the claims site, and THAT is the event that triggers the EFT email from Chase. Apparently this never happened on Friday!![]()
What phone number are you using to reach Claims support?Just got off the phone with a person from VW claims support. They are saying 3 business days after the closing date for the EFT....
I remember my claims specialist (not the dealership) was the one that had to Fedex something off to VW. She spent quite a bit of time trying to get a fedex number/ mailer from the dealership but the dealer did not come up with one. She was driving off to an actual Fedex place to send my stuff off when I left. So, clearly that should have been in place at the dealership for the buyback specialist and she should not have had to hunt down a Fedex location to send the stuff off herself!Who is supposed to FedEx the documents and who is supposed to enter the tracking number? Dealer, the claim specialist or the Ambassador?
I called that number, did not select any options and was on hold for probably ten-fifteen minutes. The person I got didn't know much but did ask a supervisor. I would take the response I was given with a huge chunk of salt...What phone number are you using to reach Claims support?
I try the1-844-98-CLAIM and get absolutely nowhere.
No Car, Keys, Title, Registration, SIGNATURES,What is "uncomfortable" is when you have sold your car back to VW, four days have passed and you have no money, no car to drive and no idea when you will have either!
Virg, all is not lost.... I should have the EFT email by tomorrow AM. It still completely screws my new car purchase scheduled for Nov 30th (to get a bunch of incentives before the month ends), because now the funds will not be cleared in time.
I can not get a car without the cash in hand.i think it is crazy that we have to wait 3-4 days to get the money...you drop a car and you are with no car and no money for 3-4 days...not everyone here has the money to buy a car BEFORE the turn in date, nor to stay 3-4 days without a car waiting for the money...
absolutely unbelievable

There are many, but this one seems to work well: https://agrahamg.github.io/VWBuybackCalculator/Would you please point me to this buyback calculator?

Almost the same situation for me too. Jan/Feb likely for my car to come. I have the offer letter, just waiting to submit.VW should have added another $500 gift card to the buyback. I would use that gift card on a rental car 3+ days waiting for the EFT to drop. I haven't choose a buyback date yet because I'm waiting on my factory order Subaru. At the earliest I hope to have the Subie arrive early January. By then I hope VW/Claims Specialists/Chase have things ironed out to NOT go over the 3 business days of EFT processing. I wish there was a way to wire the money on the spot when turning in the TDI. In that way, as soon as I leave VW on to the Subaru dealership to pay them full in cash. Nothing will ever be that smooth and easy.....Just keep dreamin huh
Uber!My only question so far is how are people getting home if they're going to the turn-in by themselves?

Yes, the first few folks who submitted Wednesday did get their EFT transfer on Thanksgiving day if I recall the earlier posts.3 days until we get paid? Is this listed anywhere in the legal documents? Common, sounds like they just keep throwing dates around without any logic behind it. Does anyone know how many folks on this forum actually received their $ already?
Is that if you have a loan? I'm in Florida and had a physical, paper title. In Florida they hold titles electronically, anyone know what I need to do as claims just refused my paper that the dealership provided me?
How do you "drive to bank" if you've just dropped off you car?No Car, Keys, Title, Registration, SIGNATURES,
UNTIL
Check in hand
check in hand
check in hand
Endorse it to your bank acct at he dealership
drive to bank
deposit
Would be fun if they have a GTI...or R...Ask the sales staff for a test drive and hop out when you get close to destination. It's the least they can do for you. Lol
I decided the evening prior to drop off my older car and park it by the dealership. I will then bring my Golf the next day, turn it in, and take my parked car back to work since my drop off time is 11:00AM.
If I did not have a spare car then I would use Uber
