Sweet Christmas!

My dates are similar to yours so hopefully I'll get my appointment email shortly. Off to check the claims website to make sure I don't have any outstanding actions....

....aaaand, I'm at Step 17, (offer) Docs received and under review. So I shall continue to wait patiently.

How many more miles can I add between today and Buyback Day?

Just to clarify: I scheduled my appointment on Dec. 7 (= one month from now).

Does it mean that I am allowed to drive another 1000+ miles (I don't recall the exact VW-mandated mileage monthly allowance) without incurring buyback penalty?

it seems this may be due to them not being able to read the notary information or something simple like that.
Exactly... That happened to me... I had to print and get re-notarized again today.. Re-uploaded this afternoon... Waiting again...

Another lesson for the rest of us, I guess. I suppose in some ways it would be preferable to just give them the notarized document, but that would just slow things down.

just got my appointment email as well.....only tuesdays at the dealer (heritage owings mills) - first date available 11/29.....think i may just wait until december or even later. i would like to see what incentives (if any) vw has first...although i guess they would stack on whatever the current one is, and there is the $1000 one currently going on this month...so might be better to take that early date....decisions...i scheduled it for the 29th for the time being

Buyback appt in SE Virginia

I also got an email this evening, Nov. 9, to log in and schedule my appt for buyback. I logged in , there were only Tuesdays available for the appt, from Nov.29 into Dec. and beyond. I have a confirmed appt for Nov. 29 in Virginia. I have a clear title and uploaded my notarized forms on Sat. Nov. 5 I will be very glad to get this over and just move on.
Thank you for this forum and the help all have provided,
Debra in SE Virginia

The reports of only being able to schedule one day out of the week are interesting, as they also violate the settlements. They require that a choice of buyback dates be available on different days of the week. Odd...

Buy back scheduled Nov 29th at 2pm. Maybe it's just the local dealer but it seemed like they are only doing buybacks 1 or 2 days a week. Most weeks it was 2 appointments on Tuesday and the occasional single appointment on Wednesday

My buyback is scheduled for Nov 25. Interestingly, the dealers here (Madison WI) are only using one day, in the afternoon, per week, at least thru the end of December. I can't imagine that's convenient for many people.

It's Almost Done.

Received my appointment email this afternoon. Email sent to us at exactly 5:00 PM. The calendar the claims portal presented to us only had Wednesdays and Thursdays available for turn ins. We selected the first convenient date for us which 12/1 at 1:00 PM at the VW dealer in Roseville CA.

Evidently they had no issue with the California version of the notary form I added to the documents uploaded. I will enjoy taking the check - and handing it over to the better half...:)

This is ridiculous. My docs have been accepted since Oct 13th. No lien, but I do have a co-owner. Nothing...

I understand your frustration. A lot of us submitted almost a month earlier than you and we have had no progress. Still in doc review.

I wish they'd send me the documents to notorize. My uploaded documents were approved 7 days ago.

7 days is nothing - see comments from posters above

My docs were approved on 10/21, so it's three weeks and counting for me....

Eric, is there a snail mail option for the notarization document?

My "10th Business Day" hits tomorrow on 11/11.....I confirmed with them twice over the phone that they are operating on Veterans Day.

I will be calling them multiple times tomorrow demanding my final offer as that will be the "10th Business Day"

I would think going over the 10 Business days is within court order violation.

All Docs submitted 9/17
1 Doc Rejected 10/12
Resubmitted 10/12
All docs accepted 10/28
10/28 - 11/11 is 10 Business Days while NOT including weekends.

This is holding up my car replacement purchase. 2 WRX's that meet my needs/color preference are within my local area. Most likely they will be gone by the time I get my buyback money which last resort is a 8-12 week factory order SMH

I checked around. Different dealers have different buy back days. One dealer was only mondays another was only saturdays etc. So one turn in guru can handle several dealerships, I guess

I think they are still ramping up the process. Start with one day a week, get the kinks worked out, and then add more of whatever they need.

I set up mine and it was heavily invested in Saturday returns at this dealer but had a couple others available on other days in November (and the other dealers had different days but by no means wide open throughout the month), I picked
"Nov 12, 2016
4:00 PM (dealer time zone)"

and got an email confirmation that says it'll be "on 2016-11-13 at -8:00 AM."

Not sure how early I'll need to set my alarm to make sure I am there at negative eight AM. No idea what conversion they're using to get those numbers, UTC time doesn't make sense (12th at 4pm + 8 hours = 13th at 12am) unless it's UTC with the time zone correction of -8h applied but not actually changing the date values?

Are y'all receiving an e-mail with your offer paperwork or snail mail? I uploaded my docs on Sept 17 and received the e-mail indicating that my docs were approved on Oct 13. I still have not received an e-mail or mail indicating my offer. I'm getting frustrated because I've missed out on a couple of cars that have been sold before I can pull the trigger. The web portal still shows the green 15 and telling me they respond within 10 business days.

I had an operator tell me last night that the "10 days" didn't start for me until the auditor started reviewing my case. That happened on 31 Oct however my docs were accepted on 25 Oct. 10 days from the 31st will be Monday Nov 14th.

So this whole 10-day thing is all over the place. Who knows when I will actually see anything.

This is interesting, I called this morning (call was answered within two minutes) to find out the status of my claim. I gave my claim number to the rep and explained that it had been 15 business days since I had received the "documents complete" e-mail. She put me on hold so she could review my file. When she came back on the line she told me that I had been approved but they did not have a settlement ambassador assigned to my area yet. The rep indicated that her supervisor told her that VW was having problems hiring people is some areas. They thought that new hires would be ready within the next two weeks and when they were the portal would be changed to allow me to download my documents for signing.
