BT drops phone when call ends; won't re-acquire

I have the std non-nav system in my 2010 JSW. About 50% of the time, when I end a phone call, the Bluetooth loses the link to my LG phone (green LED goes white) and won't reconnect even if I press (or hold) the overhead console buttons (I've tried all of them!). Sometimes it relinks after 10-15 minutes but it usually requires shutting the car off and restarting it to link again.

Is this a common BT glitch or should I take it to the dealer?

I know this might have been answered before, but the list of BT threads is as long as my arm.

You didn't say what type of phone you are using. I had no luck in my JSW with a Droid Pro. My partner had no luck with a Droid Incredible.

Its a LG Neon (365 GT I think). When it links, the BT is strong and sounds great. I have no problems linking this phone with other BT devices so I'm prety sure its the system in the car.

I am pretty sure it is either your phone or the car. Can't say for sure which is the culprit. Now, if it worked in another person's Jetta exactly like yours (9W2 Bluetooth), then I would say it was the car. The fact it works with other devices just says it works with some other devices, basically of no help.

You could get a Garmin 285 navigator with Blue Tooth for about $100. I have one in my truck. It has a phone book too. Get a nice Pro-Clip mount and you are good to go.

I suspect Neon is using the Android system. Some have had success staying connected to Bluetooth in many other cars, but I had no luck staying connected in my JSW 2010 with 9W3 BT. Since I paid $800 extra for the 9W3, I sent the phone back.
