I have a 2006 BRM that I've had for 14 years, and a 2011 Wrangler. I understand that the BRM relies on canbus for cruise control, but looking to maintain cruise as best as possible. Anyone know what needs to be kept, re-programmed, wired, etc in any way to maintain cruise? Has anyone seen this done?

If you don't mind spending the coin fast-forward sells a can-bus type interface that allows your to run a universal cruise control pad. There is a little harness to run between the interface and ECU that fools the ECU into thinking it still has the original vw gear ratios.

This likely means no reprogramming so long as crusie is enabled on your ECU, I think vcds can change this.

An email to David @Fast would give you more info on this.

I have emailed them already, and he didn't mention anything about the universal cruise pad. I'll send him another email.

I'm likely going to have him send me a harness and trans adapter anyway.
