Brakes??

Do you if they downgrade the brakes on the Mk7 tdi's vs MK6? I notice that a lot JSW owners are getting well over 150K on their original brake pads.

I'm at 50,000 on my mk7 golf and my pads still very good. I expect to to go 100,000+ on them

I'm at 100k miles on my 2013 Jetta TDI. Brakes still look good. Lot of meat on the front.

MK7 front brakes are very similar to MKVI. Rotors are the same size, pads have a different PN but are similar. Rear brakes are slightly smaller, but some MKVI cars had the same size rears. So, no, not downgraded.
