I'm way past due on my brake flush. I know the system capacity is 1 liter, but has anyone needed extra? Also wondering if a regular 11mm wrench will work for the bleeder screws. On some cars the bleeder is in an awkward position and needs an offset wrench.

98 Jetta TDI AHU 1.9L (944 TDI swap in progress) I moved so now i got nothing but an AHU in a garage on a pallet.
i thought that is an 11 in the front, 8 in the back? i never needed an offset for the A3.
either way 1L is more than enough. I
put a block of wood under the pedal so it does not travel all the way down. it could potentially damage the master piston.

It could be an 8 in the back, I was just assuming they were all 11. I have a power bleeder that I've never used, so might as well actually use it. Appreciate the clarification. I just don't want to buy a specialty tool if I don't need it. (ECS sells an 11mm wrench just for the brakes. Would've been handy when I had my GTI)

If need be. Just use a socket. Then do your thing by fingers.
