I've been driving my 2011 Jetta TDI Highline for just about a month now.
I know about the brake assist feature in the car, but want to confirm that what I'm experiencing is actually brake assist and not a bigger problem.
Basically, when driving at a slow speed (10-30km/h), if I take my foot off the gas, the car feels like it engages the brake almost right away. No coasting, no nothing. The car doesn't stop, but its almost as though I am hitting the brakes lightly.
When driving on the highway, something similar happens, but not as extreme. Even my passengers can feel the sudden slow down.
Is this what brake assist is supposed to be?
