Well, this is sort of a scion off of another thread.
I have no idea how one wuld attach racing discs to an alloy wheel, but they do make pop on and screw ons for steelies.
The cheapest I found them was from http://www.thehotrodgirl.com/hubcaps.html - $70 + $10 shipping, and they claim to have 16" available too, though no price is listed.
(No, they're not chrome, you can go to http://www.hubcapmike.com/vintage_hubcaps.html for chrome too).
The question is thus, do you think there would be any mpg gains made by reducing the drag of the wheel with these hubcaps? Would it be greater or less than the weight of changing from alloy to steelies?
I have 15" Avus right now, and would like a light alloy wheel with these hubcaps, though barring that, a set of 16" steelies with these hubcaps.
