Does anyone know if the chra from a bmw turbo will work for audi i found a cheap offshore new chra for 150 shipped i willing to gamble at that price

Do you know what exact garrett number the bmw unit is. I know they have a mgt2260 on the s63 engine but its not a VNT turbo so it wont work. Has to have the V at the end of the garrett number to denote that its a vane turbo.

I confirmed the compressor is the same 44.5/60 the chra casting looks identical just need to confirm the turbine is 45/50 then i cant see why it wouldn't work ?

You will have to do some machining on the turbine backplate to fit to Audi turbine housing. The compressor might be a different story tough.

Looked through hundreds of them yesterday, sometimes it was the only different dimension.
