I have a 2011 Jetta. Has anyone else tried streaming bluetooth audio from an Ipod touch to the stereo ? Had it working fine the other day, but today there was intermittent noise. I know I can just connect it in the glove box, but I'm trying out the new high-tech toys.

Is anyone else frustrated with VW's lack engineering in this area? Ford is gaining market share with their mind blowing Ford Sync (rebranded from Microsoft). Young peeps especially are flocking to Ford over this. Would be nice if VW brought something comparable to market. Rant/

which radio do you have?

I have the RNS-315 NAV and Ipod classic 120G hooked up. No issues.

I also use the stream audio with my BB at times and no issues there either.

The manual says it's an RCD-510, no NAV. It could be the ipod touch, it's an older one (1rst gen). My son just got a 4th gen ipod touch, i'll try that out.

2011 Jetta TDI (non-nav), iPad 3D IOS4.3. The iPad pairs to the stereo, but the stereo doesn't see the iPad (no bluetooth devices available under MEDIA) so I can't play audio.
This site has multiple threads on people having luck and others not, but no particular pointers:
