I was told "3 phones" but only 1 at a time. It will prioritize the phone it was most recently paired with, then search for the other 2 if that one is not found.

Like if you drive it home from work, then later you and the wife or husband go out to dinner it will try to pair with your phone first. If you left yours on the kitchen counter it will move on to her/his phone.

The bluetooth speaker phone pairs with one phone at a time, all bluetooth devices do that, hence the word "pairing".

Think of the bluetooth speaker phone as a passive device. It only has three modes other than "off": on, search-able, paired

When it's on, it can be connected to the device that it's already being paired.
When it's search-able, it can be found and paired with by new devices.
