I have a 2010 VW Jetta Sedan TDI purchased 9/4/09. I have the enhanced bluetooth module (no Navigation) with the RCD-510 Stereo. On the day I bought the car my cell phone was paired successfully however according to the owner's manual I should be able to see incoming phone numbers on the touch screen display- I cannot. Also the MFD does not show a phone screen as the owner's manual states it should. Is this a coding issue? By the way, the bluetooth and voice command functions have stopped working and the car is currently at the dealership. They are ordering a new module for me. I am hoping that with the proper codes entered in the new bluetooth/voice command module I will be able to see the numbers of incoming calls. The dealer serviceman seems perplexed. Any thoughts?

Do a search, this is a well documented issue. In short, you can't see your phone on the RCD-510, but with a simple code change you can see it on your MFI, search for the thread with the exact instructions.

Change module and code for RCD-510?

Thank you for your reply. So do I also need to upgrade the bluetooth module AND change the code or JUST change the code on my existing bluetooth module?

I supplied the VW dealership (Miramar in San Diego) with a copy of the codes from SeaBear than you referenced and they actually changed the code for me. The serviceman told me the phone book function is now active in the MFI. I pick up the car later today. Thanks for your help Herber68.

Now that you've got your answer and your problem is solved, I would like to ask you to do a search first next time.
