Bluetooth Auto Connects for Calls Only

WHY god WHY. Every time I get in the car and fire it up my Samsung S8+ auto connects for calls only. I've done everything I can think of, unpairing, repairing, checked the phone to ensure security settings are good and allowing the phone to connect to the head unit for calls and audio.

This worked flawlessly in my Hyundai Elantra.

Anyone else have this issue?

Yes, I have the exact same issue with my S9+. I gave up and just use an aux cord.
My daughter's iPhone connects perfectly every time...I thought about switching to an iphone, but I just can't bring myself...lol.

Ive got a RNS315 w/ S8 that works flawlessly

I have a '14 JSW with Nav. I upgraded from a Samsung Note3 to a Note 8 and have the same issue, my phone will not pair for media no matter what I do. It's VERY annoying. I'm about to put in an aftermarket deck.

Alot of interest in changing out to a high end replacement. Im ebaying a Kenwood Excelon series unit right now. I also have a total custom aux& usb set up for the empty console holes I may sell
