As you can see in the pics above, 4motion front valance is on.

Waiting to go on are the lower grill fogs and a Euro sport cluster.

In the mail are a set of ECode HID head lights in black, aftermarket not the real deal.

Well it is again time for an update but unfortunately not one with Photos.

Rims have been replaced with Factory 17" Long Beachs. Could not pass up the deal on a free set of rims and they are in good condition. I now have a factory roof rack to carry my ladder and other dodads that don't fit inside. Some times I think I should have purchased a wagon. Half height Euro sport cluster is in as are my aero wipers, OEM Rep HIDs, lower grill fogs. I promise to have pics up as soon as possible.

BTW another thank you to Pitboy for his patience with me and this car. Without him most of this would not be possible.

I haven't formally thanked them but you have reminded me so here goes, Thank you to Tothemax for selling me your most excellent transmission, it is awesome. I would also like to that Aaron (Bleached Bora) who help me out tremendously with the small parts and new engine mounts and even got it all here just in time. A special thank you to Todd (Pitboy) for answering his phone all day Saturday and being on stand by for the electrical portion. And finally I would like to thank my Cousin over at ATI Transmission repair for hooking it up.
Wow...so you are the lucky guy to get ToTheMax's 5 speed transmission eh? Nice find. If there is one good thing to say about ToTheMax it would be that he only gets the best stuff.

Nice work on the Jetta. The 3-pedal mod is a good one...especially since you get the 11mm pump w/ the auto.

I've never heard of dynamat...looking into it now. looks like a good upgrade for the Golf. How much of it did you need to do your whole car?

Yes the tranny from tothemax is top notch the clutch I have already fried so I need to do that next. As far as the Dynamat goes I ordered the big kit from Amazon it comes in a box all rolled up. It was about 135.00 can't remember the actual size sorry. But it was an excellent upgrade as far as I am concerned.

That little box will soon be moved into the glove box and it controls my HF amateur radio amplifier. The paint job was $700 2 coats of base and 3 of clear.

Nice progress and your car looks 10x better with the Long Beaches compared to your old rims, imo. Then again I've always been a fan of Long Beaches. :D

I like the Long beaches also, the old rims were on there for one purpose and that was max MPG. They only weighed 9.9 lbs, haven't noticed any difference with the LBs.

Looks good. I'm around that same ride height, but on Koni's and I can relate to the excellent ride quality.

Well it may be a sad day soon. I may be putting the Jetta up for sale. I am going to start a feeler thread in the for sale section. Life takes turns and gives you lemons, gotta make some lemonade I guess.

Sorry to hear that...I hope you don't have to sell, I can tell you are a crazy tdi fanatic.

I really do hope you can work things out and find a way to keep it...it really looks like a nice car that you've spent a good amount of time and money on.

Well this car has served me well and has been a great love but it must go. We have another baby on the way and I just want something bigger. Hopefully some day I will return to a TDI but for now I must go. Look for listing in the for sale section.

Car is sold and has gone to an excellent home. I hope the new owner will continue this thread and become a part of this forum. It has been my great pleasure to have made some of the friends I have on here. I will be lingering around from time to time to keep up with everyone. Hopefully one day i will be able to by another TDI and begin another build.
