Hey guys having some issues with my 2010 jetta. I drove to work in the rain and about an hour being at work my hazards came on and my third brake light stayed on. (That's a whole nother issue) I hit the hazard switch and they went off. To try and fix the brake light I pulled the brake light fuses according to my owners manual and couldn't get the third brake light to go off so I left it. It must have dried out by morning and the third brake light turned off. I went to go drive home and turned the air on and I have no fan at all on any of the 4 settings. When the fan in in position 1,2,3 or 4 I hit the a/c button and that light comes on but still no fan. I don't know if these two things are linked or not. Checked all the fuses and they all appear to be good.
Any help is appreciated

I would pull out the blower and test it on the bench. It is just a simple electric motor. also test if you are getting power to the plug.

Simple to get at it. Just above the front passengers feet. Sometimes getting it back in can be tricky.

OK I pulled the panel off and pull the two plugs I saw and tested those for power and I have no power to either.

OK checked again and am getting signal to the plug and has 5 volt reference to the motor and the resistor tested good. does that mean that it is the switch?
