Blew out dipstick

Hey. Kinda stressing over this! My dipstick seperated and blew put, not the dipstick itself but the tube. Have not done anything to the car other than pod filter and a remap. Have driven it hard today and noticed some oil drips on the ground and saw that the dipstick tube had been seperated, so now i wonder what it could be. It doesnt use oil and no smoke from exhaust :) Audi A4 B7 1.9 tdi 116hp stock

If that engine is like the older tdi's, it uses the engine cover to hold the dipstick tube. If you do not have the cover installed, it allows the tube to flex and rattle much more than it was intended to.

Maybe, but I've run without an engine cover for over 10 years, and I'm still on my original dipstick tube. That said, a new tube is cheap.
