FryAway Veggie Fuels Inc. will supply biodiesel for the Fest. They will avialable on Saturday for fueling. They have the ability to accept credit card payments over the computer and will accept checks written to Twin Cities Biodiesel Cooperative. They will sell on-road B100 for $2.75 per gallon, and filtered, de-watered, WVO for $1.00 per gallon.

Marc Franke (Ikendu) will be leading a biodiesel workshop. Marc will also be discussing homebrewing. We hope to have one or two of the workshops offered on Saturday so everyone has a chance to attend. The presentations will likely be near the vendor area, and right across the street from where the biodiesel will be available for purchase.

Jamie Derr, who represents Wisconsin on the National Biodiesel Board is also planning to attend. He is starting a value-added processing co-op in southern Wisconsin involving both producers and end users. He has been producing small batches of biodiesel for his new company Great Lakes BioFuel, LLC. He has discussed doing a giveaway of fuel in exchange for people becoming members of our co-op. He hopes to use the co-op as a buyers club to purchase ASTM spec. fuel from existing manufactures to get volume discounts. He is hoping to bring a small scale processor to show. Jamie will likely be located near the vendor area with Marc.

We will update the details as they become known.

I believe he has a 1500 gallon tanker, I'm not sure if he'll be bringing that much though.

Thanks for the update. I expect I'll buy between 40 and 50 gallons of B100.

Marc will do two presentations. One at 10am and one at 2pm. They last approximately one hour. He will be located in the Town Hall with the vendors.

Yes, it should be. Jon TT them last night and they still had that price. It's not like it's tied to the crude market.

Kai with FryAway said he has no issues with pumping directly into cars with signed consent.

Also, just want to make sure. The B100 is WVO based bio rather then soy based, correct? Also, for those who have used this B100, how do you like it?

It's not. Jon L is coming with a TON of jugs. We got a serious connection in Madison for them. 2-5 gallon ones.

To any folks interested in using biodiesel:

On Tuesday, Sept. 20th at 7 pm, Great Lakes BioFuels LLC will be
holding an introductory meeting and biodiesel co-op/buyer's group
planning session in the third floor conference room of the
Enterprise Center, 100 S. Baldwin St. in Madison.

Great Lakes BioFuels LLC is a new Madison company that is currently
distributing road-ready biodiesel to Dane county customers. One of
our initial goals is to increase the availability of the fuel to
local diesel drivers—making it easier and more convenient to get
in
various quantities and at a reasonable price. We are looking to
collaborate with individuals who are interested in forming a local
biodiesel co-op or buyer's group that would make ASTM-certified
fuel
available to its members. We currently have B100 (100% "neat"
biodiesel) available, which can be run as is or blended in any ratio
to petro diesel that is already in a vehicle's tank.

Please join us on the 20th to learn more about Great Lakes BioFuels
and to discuss the possibilities of increasing biodiesel
distribution locally. The meeting is free, and refreshments will be
served. In the meantime, you can visit www.greatlakesbiofuels.net,
or contact GLBF's chief operations officer Jamie Derr at 608-333-
BIOD (2463) for more information.
