Putting this out in case anyone on here has interest in joining. After talking with other TDI owners around Montana who have finished some good projects this summer, I am working on organizing a GTG to exchange info, show off some great builds, and do a little swap meet if anyone needs parts.
Location and date still being finalized but most likely in Helena, MT on Sunday October 5. Hoping to get it in before the weather changes here in the Northern Rockies. Probably plan a meetup/BBQ/swap meet at either Memorial Park or the State Capitol grounds, and then maybe also a short trail cruise up to the Continental Divide for the 4x4 vehicles involved.
Focus so far is heavy on TDI swaps, but any TDI would be gladly welcomed, or older/related diesel vehicles too. Currently have at least a couple AHU swapped Vanagons, at least one BHW swapped B7 Audi A4 Avant, ALH-swapped Toyota Prado 4x4, a BEW Smyth Ute, and a handful of other TDIs. Non-TDI rigs to include a RHD 80 series Toyota Land Cruiser TD and an '80s VW LT45 4x4 TD if timing works out. One or two 2.5TDI swapped Eurovan Campers may make it as well. Should be a great group and a good time!
