It is with a sad heart that I will be turning in my 2016 BMW 535d in a few months since my lease is ending this fall. I've driven my last winter in this fine machine and I wanted to offer a set of 17 inch winter wheels, 17-8 5-120 ET29 Rial Salero rims with Michelin X Ice Xi3 tires, perfect condition, driven 10,000-12,000 miles. Comes with BMW caps (or Rial caps if you want) and TPMS. PM me if you are interested, $300 for full set.

I failed at uploading pics, but they available in the FS section. Sorry

Currently none. Formerly: 2010 VW Jetta TDI 6M, 1993 Dodge Ram W250 Cummins 5M 4WD, 1990 VW Jetta Diesel 5M, 1986 VW Jetta Diesel 5M, 1980 VW Uabbit Diesel 4M. Currently driving 2018 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4WD.
This is off the topic a little bit, but I can't help offering some comments: 1. It really isn't your car (no pun intended here). You are merely leasing it, which is a form of renting. The actual owner of the vehicle is listed on the lease contract, and it is the other party to that contract. 2. If this is such a fine machine as you say it is (and I am not disputing your claim), then why not become the owner of the vehicle and continue driving it? As far as I know, all lease contracts give leasees the option to buy the vehicle at the end of the lease period. Also, BMW no longer imports any diesels to the US, so this already is one of a kind vehicle. Plus, you drove the car since it was brand new, so you know its history first hand.

All the above are great points. I certainly considered buying the 535d. It truly is a great car. Most of my driving is city driving and being stuck in traffic jams and at stop lights. We have the Q5 TDI for distance driving. I'll be going full electric for my commutes. Just making a change.

Diesel for highway long distance driving with passengers and cargo. EVs for one person (or a few people) city driving. Very optimal combo!

Part of why I keep my ALH TDIs is for local driving. The idea of running my 335d or even the '15 GSW for short trips seems to not be the best idea, in my opinion.
I think a lot of my local driving could be done in an EV, but the overall cost per mile of my old, inexpensive diesels is much better. And I'd probably lose my job. :D

Yes, this is my logic. At least I won't be wanting for torque! BTW, I did sell the above wheels.

Aha, I hear you.

Speaking of the 535d, is it even remotely possible to find, in the US, the wagon version in the 2009 year model or newer?

Last BMW 5-series wagon was offered in 2010, and that was the previous body style, AND only offered with the turbo gasoline engine. Your non-sedan diesel options for BMW post-2009 are:
1. 3-series wagon as these were offered until 2018
2. SUV, either X3 or X5

Thanks. Unfortunately the 3-series wagon, even if I could afford it, is has too small of a cargo space :-(

And nothing in the horizon, just more SUVs :-(((
