bew timing belt

just did a timing belt used cam lock pin and crank lock device. now my fuel mileage is down about 5 mpg what should I be checking?

On later versions of VCDS "torsion" is correctly labeled "KW".

Why?? Because KurbelWinkel !!! (Crank Angle)

It’s German for crank-angle. Meaning, the relationship between the rotation of the crank and cam, expressed in degrees. So 1.0 KW would mean the crankshaft is rotated one degree ahead of the camshaft. Refer to video above.

The further out of adjustment it is, the worse the engine will run. This could vary from barely noticeable, all the way to not running at all, and anything in between.

There are just too many to list....
German words are often humorous sounding to English-speakers. But as some of you already knew, and others found out, kurbelwinkel is indeed crank-angle. ;)
