1996 Passat B4V, Just complete timing belt and running great as always. Have a friend with Vagcom and we will check and adjust timing.

Last time if I remember correctly we set near the top line on the graph. For fuel injection quantity what is the best number to put in for fuel economy. \
Thanks

Your foot determines fuel economy.

If IQ is too low, it may smoke at idle. Higher IQ will use less fuel, but possibly run too lean if you need the power. So, set it high enough that it doesn't smoke, but not too high.

98 Jetta TDI AHU 1.9L (944 TDI swap in progress) I moved so now i got nothing but an AHU in a garage on a pallet.
raw egg under the accelerator pedal
tape over every seam on the exterior of the car
proper alignment and tire quality and inflation

once you start throwing money at performance parts you can get better mpg IF you keep off it, price for mpg increase is a few years to pay off at 35k miles a year but that also comes with other issues im not going into.
best bet, get a scangauge II and learn how to hyper mile.
timing will have little to no effect whatsoever as long as within the graph of MPG improvement. not anything your going to notice anyways.
