I'm considering using a phone app to help track my mileage. Which one is the most used/accurate?

I like www.fuelly.com. the mobile site is good, and the stats can be viewed anywhere with a web browser. I also like the idea of contributing to a body of information generated by many different car owners.

I use VehiCal on my Iphone, it works well and you export a csv file if you want. You can also track expenses with the app.

Another for Fuelly. It's easy for others to use, whether they have your same phone or not, and you can easily access it from a computer.

I like Fuelly quite a bit. I've been using it for a few years (with a different car) and it's great.

I just logged the last 15 months of fill-ups into Fuelly! From now on I will be updating data right from my phone and still keeping specifics as cost per mile and cost per tank on my excel.

Garmin mechanic. It's free and will interface with their obd II scanner. I track mileage, maintenance, and any error codes which the app can clear. I can also bring up another set of gauges for the jetta including a boost gauge.

CarMinder (iOS) supports Multi car use and has handy maintenance reminders too. But, like others, I like Fuelly.com and even post fuel-ups to fueleconomy.gov so citizens get a better real-world view of our TDI mpg.

Another Fuelly user here. As previously said, their mobile site is very simple and easy to use(on an iPhone atleast:D)

I also use Fuelly. It's great. In addition, I keep an up-to-date Excel file ... just in case.

Excel

Fuelly is good, but I use Excel for the ultimate in detailed record keeping and statistics.

I also use Excel. I have 10 years of data in my multi-sheet Excel program. One sheet provides a summary of all data entered. At the moment, I have over 390 fill-ups recorded....and, all maintenance as well!

I have a several graphs as well!

Fuelly - but the normal website not the mobile site. Generally I write it down & do it later, rather than when I am sat in the car with people waiting behind to use the same pump (I record a lot of stuff other than just the distance and fuel).
