Been gone from the forum for a while. Who is all from Ohio that is on here now?

Hello,

Its been a while since I have been active on the forum, I am sad to say. I've been beating up facebook alot but its time to get back on here. A little background, I learned alot from Mr. Whitbread in the beginning. Matt rented my shop in lima while he was finishing up school and then later left to go home and keep his business a going. When he left, there was a lack of TDI knowledge in the area and people where beating my door down for me to start a shop. So.... I did. Kraiger Automotive Service LLC in lima oh. Ever since then we have been non stop busy with anything TDI related.

Now, with dieselgate, we have had to make some changes to stay open. We now do alot of gas work also but still love our TDI's. Everyone that works here has one, even though it is not required lol. From normal service to full out race/show builds we have been very busy and very thankful for the support.

Now back to my headline question, Who all is from ohio on here now? Its been so long I know a few but I am sure there is alot more new guys.

Sorry no. We order them as needed. Our shop is normally 3-6 weeks out on scheduling, so by the time we schedule the work the parts are in.

I to have been absent about 8 months. I've been busy re-shaping a machine shop business. We do alot of import work, not much diesel yet. I just happen to drive a TDI that I rescued form a stripped timingbelt/worn out cam shaft, worn out diff. side bearing and Oh hell whilst your there replace the dualmass/& clutch ass. and update the turbo to a VNT17( the 226k mile Borg had a few thou of shaft worrble). We are in Whitehall, Ohio near wacky Columbus. Randy's automotive machine shop on FB and all that. My business partner does all that social media stuff, and alot of the cylinder heads. I do engine assembly crank, Rods-n-pistons and aaaalotta technical support, and sales. We are busier than we could ever have imagined we would be. Well at any rate we here in Ohio may we meet or do biz some day?! Love my TDI it drives amazing!

Hi guys. Long time since I was here on the forum. I would like to ask if someone is around cincinnati OH. The reason im asking is I want to buy a yamaha bw80 for my son but here in europe they were never sold. There a nice one for sale in northern kentucky but the owner says be cannot be be bothered to ship it and only wants to take cash in the hand.
So ideally someone with a bit of time would drive there, pick it up, strap it onto a pallet and ship it to LA harbor (w UPS Ground or so) where a friend has container coming here end of November. I will off course transfer the funds required to buy and ship the bike and a bit maybe for the time consumed.

I talked a bit with the seller and he agreed me to sell the bike sending the money w paypal. Just need to find a shipping company now that can ship it to 90220. He said ups ground would not take a bike, even if it was on a pallet

The seller will have to drain all fluids and palletize it. Then ship it on a semi truck.
