Honestly, I always put in an Autozone AGM battery. Why? There are literally Autozones EVERYWHERE, and you get a 3 year warranty. The $hitty dealership batteries are only a year, and I have yet to see one last more than 3 years. If you do go Autozone (or O'Reilly's, since the same company makes both's batteries), the made in Germany H6's are pretty awesome. That's what my mother had in her 2015 JSW before she traded it in for her Tesla (of which I pulled the Autozone and put in a barely able to turn over dealership battery).

Highly reccomend the H6/ group 48 upgrade if yours is an H5 / group 47 battery. The tray accomodates 3 sizes of battery I believe.

Dealer offered H6 from the Passat or Mk5/6TDI works without an issue.

There are just too many to list....
Not sure how many threads we need on this, but I'll give the same answer I've been giving:

Go to the dealer and get one. They fit correctly, are competitively priced, and they hold up well. That's all we put in any VAG products and we've yet to have any issues.
