Just took my battery out to replace it and when I went to put the new battery in - it didn't fit.
All this week I was fretting about buying an after market battery or one from the dealer. I desided that it would be best to purchase from the dealer (and pay more) just so that I would be sure that the battery fit in its nice little housing. Of course when I realised that it did not fit the parts department at HILLCREST had closed. I tried Steel and they were also closed.
So lucky me I get to change my battery twice once I find the time to get in and exchange it at Hillcrest and get the correct one.
I even went the extra step and hooked up a trickle charger so that I did not lose any electrics during the change over, even after the same guy that sold me the battery, stated that I would not lose electronics.
So much for being proactive, althought that part of the operation did work well. I guess I should have went in with the exact part number, but I expected that they would be able to get it right. The guy even used the computer. If it was just off the top of his head I would have asked him to check.
Anyway I feel better now that I have vented, but on another note they don't give you much room to navigate with the battery. The tolerances are very tight. I did not even have a mm to spare and had to pry the connection over the pos terminal. The battery is just sitting in its case now as I will have to take it out next week.
Cheers
