Just wonder if a swap like is is possible I know they used this transmission during my year but, I’m curious on how hard it would be and if the trans will just bolt up or if it’s more convoluted. Lmk if anyone has any info or has tried something like this.

It's definitely possible and has been done. It would be a good deal easier to just swap the entire vehicle for one that came with a manual from the factory, though.
Yeah the biggest issue I had was I couldn’t find one, I just bought the car and it was the only TDI I could find within 500 miles let alone a manual. I’m also not opposed to getting my hands dirty with it, Ive replaced a trans before but never swapped.
