Auto unlock keeps resetting

2005 Jetta wagon GLS 5 spd, shadow blue
I picked up my 2010 Sportwagen on Thursday - platinum gray/black/sunroof. My only complaint so far is that the auto unlock keeps resetting. Any clues as to how to keep it set to auto unlock when the the key is removed?
