I like the keyless entry system on the new Jetta but find the auto lock function a bit of a pain in the butt. I often throw parcels, brief cases, etc in the back seat but it is a pain to have to hit the unlock button every time I get out of the car to be able to open the back doors.

Don't know why all the doors don't unlock when you open the driver door. If you plan to lock the car you'd be locking them all anyway.

Anyone know if there is a way to have all the doors unlock without having to push the unlock button on the driver door or key fob?

You need to find someone with VCDS (Vag-Com). With VCDS you can make all the doors unlock together. You can also disable the automatic locking at 8mph. Take your pick.

Have Fun!

Do you have the MFI display in the dash? On the '09s and '10s you can set the Auto UNlock function to driver only or all doors in the convenience menu, IIRC. You can also set the manual aka key fob unlock to driver's only or all.

Your Canadian version may be slightly different.
