Does anyone know if we can get Audis or BMW's brought to the US even used ones? I just bought one of my workers a 2001 Jetta Tdi and would like a bigger car for myself. The Jetta is a great car but just not big enough. I could possibly get by with a Passat. Would love an SUV.

Forget it....way too much trouble...
And, the new diesel engines will not run well on the crappy fuel we have here.

Wait until the new ULSD fuel is here (hopefully by 2006), then we'll see some interesting cars on the US market.

Audi, BMW....SUV? One of those words just doesn't belong
Here in MPLS I saw a BMW 522d (5 something d, I can't remember). It looked to be a 1990 or earlier. I'm not sure BMW actually sold them here though.

Anyway, big car/SUV and diesel. Check out the big three - Dodge, Ford and GM. That new Duramax just won top 10 engine of the year in Ward's Auto World.

They were bragging that it put out a whopping (no, not italian) 45 hp/l. I sent a letter to the editor saying that my lowly grocery getter puts out 47.4 hp/l stock. They didn't publish it.
