Audi B6 compared to B7 BHW swap

Is the B6 generation 1.8t manual as straightforward as the B7 A4 2.0 TSI manual for the BHW swap? Particularly tranny mating and gear ratios. There are some really nice ones out there with blown engines cheap. There are B7 trannys out there fairly cheap so maybe use one in a B6 swap?

while on various conversion options was the C5 offered in Europe with a 2.7 tdi engine? If so, would it be tough to get one here in NA?

The Europeans don't seem to like the 2.5L V6 TDI much.

The 2.7L is a gasser (we did get those).

What's your opinions on putting a stage 2 tuned and larger bv43a turbo bhw in an 00-04 C5 A6 quattro? Those B7 A4's are just too small for my 240lb ass and 6-2 height.

Shoot, I'm 6'1" and 270 and I drive a Golf every day. And I cannot even reach the pedals if I have the seat all the way back. I always felt this was something the Germans still did well: making compact cars to fit full sized humans. I could (and have, frequently) driven all day in my Golf, literally an entire fuel tank's worth of driving without getting out, and never felt bad at all. I can't spend 10 minutes in a Prius without needing physical therapy, and I had to test drive one of those awful Subaru Crosstrek things and thought I was going to have to get put in traction afterwards.

My B5.5 wagon is much easier to get in and out of compared to the B7.
What about the C5 swap? Are they too heavy for the BHW? I'm not racing any more so don't care about 0-60 times but want good economy

I noticed in 2010 the A4 Audis got a longer wheelbase. They still offered 6sp 2.0tsi engines. is there any way to convert one of them to tdi?

I may end up converting a 2005 Passat 4motion like vwztips did. I believe he imported a 5sp manual 4 motion tdi transaxle. Sounds like Audi only imported TDI engines in the longitudinal configuration in the Q5,Q7, A7, and A8 and they were all CR 3.0 v6 tdi's with automatic trannys. Sad.....
