Audi A6 C7 3.0 150kw quattro CLAA with s-tronic tune limit

Hey guys,

I have A6 C7 3.0 150kw CLAA and have done some mods: darkside big intecooler, 76mm downpipe, mufflers moded for straightpipe, swaped turbo from 180kw garrett 2260 with performance turbine, egr is also off and we can not get over 200kw on tune. There is bigger pressure set, more diesel goes in all looks good in log and should do 700nm and 320-330 hp, but it is max 650nm and 270 hp....
it was about 10 months ago that I had the entire engine removed and the chains and the entire distribution system with filters and oil were changed, the intake and the throttle valve were cleaned, I even removed the butterfly valve in the throttle valve because it rattled


any ideas?

we had 660 nm on one tune, would it allow it to go above 650? but next one was 646 and all other were around 640-650

There are a lot of torque limiter more. Dont know who is limiting, but it sound so.

maybe stupid question but, would 650 nm limit 30 kw in hp? because fuel to injectors was increased. So can you increase hp without nm? if not then this will be the issue but my tune guy said that it should not affect hp increase and that he knows there is this limiter...so i am confused...sorry i am kinda new to this.

from 2k rpm max (which is 620,1 weird :/ )and from 3,8k it goes down.

Wow thank you, that is very specific, question is, why i am loosing torque and stroke from 3800 rpm? 🫤 because i have everything needed for at least 320 hp.

what is your advice? what should i do now? Because i think that this tuner is quite good since he has dyno and he makes custom tuning for every car so it is not just something from ebay but i still think that when he knows about 650nm limit and wonders why we do not have over 300 hp is kinda weird. does nm go up with hp at the same time? Or you can limit nm and still increase hp ( thats what he said with 650nm max)

your tuner should improve. What's funny is that the car where the turbo comes from has a maximum torque of 620nm. Not that he just took the torque curve. Maybe your engine has a higher friction torque and only achieves 270 hp instead of 286.

I think that truth is that with 650nm u can have 230kw, i was jumping around 190-200kw. i know that i have n75 map for 180kw because of that swapped turbo, may that be some issue? also my tuner said that he wanted to avoid smoke so he set lamda to 1.15 from 3800 rpm thats why there is everything going down in my opinion or am i wrong?

As I said, I don't have a file that I can look at and I don't know what your tuner has programmed. According to the log, iq is missing, that has to be increased and everything else otherwise everything stays as it is.

Yes it is, but still better than having potential without result i am actually not sure how to do it since he is over 100 km from here, it would need to be planned for cooperation for like 3 hours. But i have contact for other tuner which made my friends car with les tune for 310hp and 650nm so i am communicating with him at the moment and also on monday i will send injectors for test and change all bearings since i think that they are getting air... and then we will see if they are not the issue of my problem.

Suppoze tcu limits are raised..??.
Post picture with your injectors test.
CLAA injectors .don't usualy go bad on flow side..
That îs what you are looking when asking power..

I have made a few of theese engines..even converted one to bitdi and 8HP..

But in the log you see that he dont inject anought to reach the 650nm at 4200 to get the 330hp.

True. When removing injectors 1 was loose and they were not placed well, so they were getting air, now everything is replaced (except injectors) so it should be okay but i still do not think that this was the issue. But to add more information, we did 2 runs on dyno and there was no difference in NM and HP when he has raised pressure to turbo and fuel injected. But probably he should add more from 3800 rpm, he is maybe too much enviromentaly friendly dont know im just sad and trying to find out how to fix it.
